Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who actually enjoyed Episode one. Of the prequels it would have been the best if it weren’t for Jar Jar and if it moved a bit faster in some places. Well and the “are you an angel?” line, that was just bad. I was embarrassed for Lucas actually writing that.
Not sure if its because this scene carries it or maybe Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor lugging it along.

Racism effects EVERYONE.
It creates divided communities, instills fear where there should be friendship, creates further…
At the moment the media tends to shelter those of non white color when they commit crimes and pat heads when there’s a heart touching story. This is something that is inverse to what you would have seen decades ago if it was covered at all. It may seem like a step towards equality but its not, its treating those of race (most commonly the African American community) in a childlike nature or as if they are so sensitive and incapable of handling bad news that it has to be tip-toed around. Admittedly I am white so I admit my life experiences are probably different because the world is so race based but it is still something I’m a bit disgusted by. Not only because of how simple minded it paints people but anytime there is an alert put out for someone of color its always danced around and might as well be a waste of airtime.
All everyone in this argument needs to understand is racism isn’t just a form of “the white man keeping the black man down”. Racism by definition is an idea that can be embarrassed by anyone of any race or nationality and isn’t just about keeping one specific group down. By out casting or singling out one race, or even an individual, just because of their skin color you are only extending the cycle of aggression while also doing the very same thing to them that you claim they do to your own race. At the same time over compensating for a group because of their race should be considered.
Point being, everyone just needs to calm down and try to understand each other instead of immediately criticizing.
